Elegant and Powerful A wine like his representative,Spices, red fruits, tannic structure ... Saint Emilion is located on the right bank and the most cultivated grape varieties are Merlot and Cabernet Franc. With soils with a clay-limestone influence, wines are born which delight with their aromas of ripe black fruits and spices like pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, it is sweet with present and round tannins. Ideal for elegant moments.
TERROIR
The terroir of Saint-Emilion is divided into two distinct zones: the clay-limestone soil of the côtes gives round and fruity Merlots, while the sandy, flinty gravel of the sable allows the Cabernets to reach optimum maturity.
2017 VINTAGE
The winter and spring of 2017 were generally mild and relatively dry.Rainfall in June, followed by hot and dry weather in July and August, enabled the vines to produce highquality grapes with rich aromas and
flavours. Slightly cooler temperatures in September helped our red wines to retain a pleasant freshness.
The presence and know-how of Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s winemakers further guaranteed the quality of the vintage. The red wines are marked by attractive fresh fruit aromas and flavours and a firm and elegant tannic structure.
