The 2015 Cornas Les Arenes comes from decomposed, almost sandy, granitic soils and several different estate parcels. Its deep, inky color is followed by a meaty, classic Cornas perfume of blackcurrants, crushed rocks, smoked earth and caramelized meats. Rich, full-bodied, unctuous and yet still pure and nicely focused, it’s going to need short-term cellaring to come together. Robert PARKER - 92-94/100
