"A good wine is a wine you want to taste again", my great grandfather used to say. This wine carries his message as well as the warmth of the soil in the South of France where this wine is rooted. Conviviality, that of a man who likes to share. By mastering the grapes of the Rhone Valley of which secrets I wanted to reveal. Now, it's my turn to carry a message of pleasure through this wine. Ruby red colour. Nose of red fruit and spices. On the palate, the Mediterranean influence on the Cabernet Sauvignon is very noticeable. Good length accompanied by fresh fruit.
A beautiful bright yellow colour with pale green highlights. On the nose light notes of pink grapefruit and almond blossom. On the palate this Chardonnay reveals the complexity of the Languedoc. Ageing on the lees gives the wine richness and body, that are accompanied by freshness and finesse through to the particularly long finish.
Deep garnet red. An intense, complex bouquet with black fruit, mild spices and roasted coffee bean hints. Full and rounded on the palate with mellow tannins. A long, fresh finish. Wine Advocate: 93/100 points
A complex fruit bouquet (quince paste and dried fruit), along with some floral hints (honeysuckle, acacia) and touches of spice (vanilla, cinnamon). Rich and harmonious on the palate, set off nicely by spice and butter flavours. Good length, with a dominantly fresh sensation.
A really good example of warm, ripe fruit from the south of France, showing good interaction of oak, lots of red fruit and chocolate character. No rusticity here. Generous and very appealing style. Dark cherry notes and a hint of floral character on the finish. Drink 2021 - 2035. Decanter: 95/100
Beautiful, deep dark-red colour. The nose is still somewhat reserved, offering aromas of spices and garrigue mingled with toasted notes from the barrel ageing. A generous, harmonious wine on the palate, revealing black fruit and spices, supported by silky, elegant tannins Well-balanced, this wine can be enjoyed now, but will also keep for several more years.
93 Points Robert Parker From the Limoux region, Domain de Baron'Arques, owned by Chateau Mouton Rothschild, is produced from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Malbec. From a supple and velvety attack, the beautifully fresh mid-palate reveals refined and elegant tannin associated with an impression of density and fullness. Notes of toast, cocoa, vanilla and cedar wood combine with wild berry fruit flavors on the long and succulent finish.
