Seña nasceu fruto da joint venture entre Eduardo Chadwick e Robert Mondavi em 1995, que tiveram o sonho de criar um vinho que mostrasse todo o potencial do Chile, um vinho que fosse acolhido, com o tempo, entre os Premier Crus do mundo. Modelado ao estilo de Bordeaux, teria uma alma chilena oferecida pela uva Carménère e cultivada segundo os princípios da agricultura biodinâmica do Vale do Aconcágua.
