Since its inaugural release in 1997, Kilikanoon's first year of production, this wine has been one of its flagship wines. The Mort's Block vineyard was planted 50 years ago, in 1973, by its namesake Mort Mitchell. This wine honors and celebrates the vision and continuous dedication to the land and the wines it produces.
TASTING NOTES:
COLOR
Very pale with lemon tint.
NOSE
Complex and intense set of Meyer lemon, Tahitian lime and white flowers, combined with fine chalk and notes of fresh ginger.
MOUTH
Concentrated, juicy waves of lemon and lime juice coat the palate. Notes of talc, jasmine and a refreshing mineral acidity lead the flavor to a long and persistent finish.
A wine that can be enjoyed now and that will also enjoy years in the cellar to slowly evolve.
DRINK
Now and until 2035
